Summer is once again here and many of us will be taking a well earned break at some point (if you're lucky enough!) ((and if you're sales manager will let you!)).
Going on holiday is a great time to recharge your batteries, spend time with your loved ones, friends and family and not think, worry or stress about selling for a short period of time.
Some of you also like to use this time to enjoy a book or two.

I've read so many amazing sales books whilst on my holidays over the years, I find it relaxing, motivating and enjoyable. Plus it inspires me ready to jump back into selling when I'm back!
Here are my top 10 sales book recommendations for 2019:
1) The Extremely Successful Salesman's Club - Chris Murray
This is hands down my all time favourite sales book and my personal number one recommendation for your summer sales reading. Not only is this book packed with the best sales tips, principles and methods, but it is written as a story. This makes it extremely enjoyable to read whilst also very educational as well!
2) The No.1 Best Seller - Lee Bartlett
This isn't another "this is how you sell" book, but instead a "this is how I sold" book. Lee takes you on a journey through his fascinating sales career and shows you exactly what he did to sell multi-millions and climb the sales career ladder. Very well written, super fun to read and is packed full of some of the best sales insight out there.
3) Sales EQ - Jeb Blount
Jeb Blount is, in my opinion, the best sales author around right now. He has written a whole host of amazing sales books over recent years and Sales EQ is one of my all time personal favourites. Emotional Intelligence is a huge part of modern day selling and this book explores every single part of it. Packed with amazing stories and insight, this book will make a great summer read!
4) Not Taught - Jim Keenan
If you aren't already following Keenan on LinkedIn, you should! His content cuts through all the usual noise and packs amazing punches every time. His passion, knowledge and experience in sales is brilliant and his book "Not Taught" is one of the best out there. Full of everything you need to know about being successful in sales in the 21st century, this makes a brilliant summer sales book.
5) To Sell Is Human - Daniel H. Pink
Daniel Pink has done something quite amazing with this book, he has shown us that selling is normal! A very different style to most sales books, this isn't full of sales tricks but instead it shows us how selling is human and the real truths about modern day sales. I love the unique approach this book takes and for me it really hit the nail on the head for how we should be selling.
6) The Lost Art of Closing - Anthony Iannarino
Unless you close a sale, there is no sale! Closing is a crucial part of the sales process and Anthony Iannarino (often referred to as the smartest man in sales) has put together the best guide to closing ever. This book is packed with amazing insight into the many different effective ways you can close deals. If you want to come back from your holiday and close more deals (which I'd hope you would!) then this is the book for you.
7) COMBO Prospecting - Tony J. Hughes
Here's the simple reality, using ALL sales prospecting platforms is the only way you can maximise your sales reach in 2018 and beyond. It's not cold calling versus everything else, it's cold calling WITH everything else and that's exactly what is shown in COMBO prospecting. Tony J Hughes is one of the best sales bloggers in the world and this book pulls together the best knowledge and insight into how you can use all tools available to win more.
8) The 10X Rule - Grant Cardone
Grant Cardone hands down is the biggest name in sales right now. He's written a whole host of amazing sales books but 10X Rule is one of my all time favourites. It's based on the very simple reality, if you want to achieve more you have to do more! Very well written, extremely motivating and packed full of amazing sales content, this book makes a superb summer sales reading.
9) Start With Why - Simon Sinek
The most successful salespeople do one thing, they sell with why. They are very good at showing their prospects WHY they sell and why their business does what it does. Simon Sinek is one of the greatest leadership experts out there and his Start With Why principle has proven hugely popular across the world. This book will help you understand your why and the best ways you can share that.
10) Social Selling - Tim Hughes
Social Selling is one of the most underused sales tools right now. Partly because of the confusion and partly because change is challenging. Tim Hughes breaks it down in his fantastic book Social Selling helping show you both why it's crucial but also the best ways in which to leverage social to sell more!
